The Reno Blues Society’s annual Mardi Gras with California Blues Hall of Famers The Delta Wires will be held Saturday, February 18th at the Ramada. This always fun event will feature a silent auction fundraiser with lots of great items to benefit the non-profit’s local causes.
Tickets are available for $30 on-line at renobluessociety.org or at the door. We expect a full house for this event.
Doors and no-host bar will open at 7:00 with The Delta Wires and dancing from 7:30 to 10:15-ish. Festive and colorful attire is encouraged, and you’ll be gifted with beads at the door.
This event’s proceeds will benefit the Reno Blues Society’s sponsorship of free summer Tuesday Bluesdays at Palisades Tahoe and the RBS music grant program for local school kids. Among the great items on the auction table, there will be a ‘23-‘24 Palisades season ski pass, generous gift certificates to the Peppermill and Atlantis, a guitar and much more!
For The Delta Wires, this will be their third appearance at an RBS event and it happens to be a CD release event for them, as well, as they just finished “If Somebody Told Me” and will be selling this combination of original songs and covers at Mardi Gras.
The Reno Blues Society, founded in 1993, is a non-profit all-volunteer organization dedicated to promoting the history and significance of blues music through events and education. Our tax ID number is 80-0016293.
